Nickname: "Hi, my name is..." The name you introduce yourself with and everyone knows you by. For example: Tom Cruise fills in the name "Tom", because no one knows him by his real name, "Thomas", and he never introduces himself this way.

Last name: Usually rather straightforward. Just in case: don't include middle names! Daniel Ryan Cormier would simply fill in "Cormier". For the aristocrats among us with lengthy last names, fill in the name you always introduce yourself with.

As a rule, a suffix as Jr. is not broken down. However, if everybody knows you by that suffix and/or you introduce yourself with it, this rule may not apply (Robert Downey, Jr. comes to mind as a possible example).

And yes, for women the name changes with marriage.

Full Birth Name: See birth certificate. If you do not know what the birth name of the other person is, you'll have to guess or fill in the nickname plus last name. On average you can expect a 2 to 4 percent deviation compared to the correct birth name. The maximum deviation with the present algorithm is 6 percent, but it's generally less than this, 1-3 percent or so.

If you are blessed with the suffix II, III, or IV and it appears on your birth certificate, you can add aa, aaa, or aaaa behind your full birth name (NOT the last name). These count as 1s and will properly display the Destiny Number, which is the most important. Do the II, III, and IV have to be added to the Destiny Soul or Destiny Persona? I really don't know. If you like to experiment with it, the vowel a counts as 1 and will add them to the Soul, while the consonant s, which also counts as 1, will add them to Destiny Persona.

The Dutch "IJ" is traditionally interpreted as a "Y". While this seems to be the most accurate, I suspect that I + J also has an influence. With this build-in option anyone can quickly calculate (primarily) the influential Power Name number in two different ways and maybe gain a little additional insight. Feedback on this is welcomed.

Numerology is all about the vibe you get from someone else. You need to shut off the intellect and simply feel. How does that person make you feel when you are around them? Life Path:

The most important number of all. While there are other numbers to consider, to a very large extent the Life Path answers questions involving "What am I supposed to do with my life?" and "What is my true self?" The Life Path can be considered the "SWOT" of life, as it gives one a broad overview of one's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in life.

Power Name:

Based on all the consonants and vowels in the nickname + last name, thus for women it generally changes with marriage. This number carries less weight than the Life Path, but is still very influential on one's personality. It strengthens or reduces aspects of the Life Path, or adds additional character traits.

Soul Urge:

Based on the vowels in the nickname + last name, thus for women it generally changes with marriage. This number deals with what makes you feel fulfilled; not necessarily what you're best at.

Destiny:

Based on the full birth name, thus never changes.

Birthday:

Day of the month you were born. This seems to be the clearest of the secondary or extrovert numbers. Not always, but very often the birthday number completely throws you off by "masking" the Life Path upon first meeting someone or seeing a person on television. The birthday number has great influence on how people present themselves to others.

Persona:

All vowels of the nickname + last name, and therefore the "non-Soul Urge" aspect of the Power Name. I find it hard to define and for now approach it as an enhancing or moderating aspect on the Birthday and Attitude, similar to the relation of the Power Name to the Life Path. Glynis McCants refers to this number as the "Personality Number", but I find this too confusing. In case of "Persona", in Latin it literally means "mask".

Attitude:

Month + day, so, like the birthday number, an aspect of the Life Path. Considered to represent your general philosophy on how to live life.

Main number:

Occasionally the Life Path number is not the primary number in the percentage row, but will be the number that also shows up as the Power Name or Soul Urge - or both. If that's the case, additional details of this number are listed here. While this number won't replace your Life Path, it will greatly affect your day-to-day personality and needs additional studying. If the Main Number is similar to your Life Path, no additional details can be found here, because the Life Path is already discussed in maximum detail above.
